Grand Canyon National Park has six lodges, four on the rim, one at the west end of Grand Canyon Village, and one near the visitors center.  Each lodge offers something different to guest staying at Grand Canyon National Park and also offers a wide range of evening rates.

Bright Angel Lodge South Rim - link to it!

Bright Angel Lodge in located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  Accommodations include motel style rooms or cabins on the south rim offering incredible views of the canyon.  The pioneer style log cabin lodge room rates run from between $44 to $116 a night.

Designed by Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, the lodge offers a dramatic fireplace made out of stone cut from the Canyon walls and brought up by mule train.  The fireplace is an accurate geological representation of the layers of stone found at Grand Canyon National Park.  Features include The Arizona Steakhouse, a full service restaurant, entertainment, and ice cream soda fountain, full service bar, gift shop, beauty shop, and a transportation service desk for arranging tours.

El Tovar Hotel - South Rim - link to it!

The El Tovar Lodge in located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  Built in 1905 by the Santa Fe Railroad, this magnificent stone structure has been called, "the architectural crown jewel of the Grand Canyon."  Offering world class hotel accommodations, the El Tovar Hotel captures the spirit of a by gone day with it's recreation of a European style hunting lodge.  Room rates are from $114 to $279 a night.

An immense stone hearth fireplace and stunning views of the Canyon are available Grand Canyon National Park, Stock Photograph, ClickArt, Broderbund Software at the El Tovar Lounge.  All rooms have color televisions, full bath, and telephones, which is unusual for a National Park property.

El Tovar Hotel is also renowned for its world-class dining room, The El Tovar Dining Room.  A memorable dining experience in the Arizona wilderness while enjoying breathtaking views of the Canyon. They have an extensive menu and can cater to special needs including several vegetarian options. Casual dress is acceptable. Reservations are recommended.

Kachina  & Thunderbird Lodges South Rim - link to it!

Kachina Lodge and Thunderbird Lodge are located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  Motel style rooms are offered at both of these lodges.  Room rates run from between $109 to $119 a night, and both lodges are conveniently located within walking distance to the historic district of the Grand Canyon.

Neither lodge offers any amenities.  If you are staying at the Kachina Lodge, you are closest to the El Tovar Hotel.  If you are staying at the Thunderbird Lodge, you are closest to the Bright Angel Lodge, of which both offer full amenities.  Likewise if you are staying at the Kachina Lodge, check in and check out is done at the El Tovar Hotel.  If you are staying at the Thunderbird Lodge, check in and check out is at the Bright Angel Lodge.

Maswik Lodge South Rim - link to it!

Maswik Lodge is located about 1/4 of a mile from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, just west of the Grand Canyon Historic District.  The lodge offers motel style rooms and cabins.  All rooms and cabins have showers and telephones, which is unusual for a National Park property.  Room rates run from between $60 to $113 a night.  The Maswik Lodge is conveniently located by the Maswik Transportation Center, the Grand Canyon Kennels, and is only a short walk to the Rim Trail.

A cafeteria, gift shop, and a full service sports bar are offered at the Maswik Lodge.

Yavapai Lodge South Rim - link to it!

Yavapai Lodge is located on about 1/2 of a mile from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, across the street from the National Park Service Grand Canyon Visitor Center.  The lodge is a complex of several buildings, offering motel style accommodations.  Room rates run from between $84 to $99 a night.  The Yavapai Lodge is closed from December 1, to early March, but reopens from December 25 to January 1, to accommodate Christmas visitors.

The Maswik Lodge is conveniently located by the bank, Babbit's General Store, the US post office, the Mather Outdoor Amphitheater, and the Sage Loop Campfire Circle.  As a jumping off point for all directions in the park, this is the most ideal location.  A large cafeteria, and gift shop are offered at the Maswik Lodge.
