The adjacent community of Tusayan has a number of facilities to meet your lodging needs.  Accommodations range form simple hotels to near luxury resorts.  Reservations should be made well in advance, at least four to six months is ideal.  Tusayan is conveniently located five miles south of the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park, South Rim.  If you plan to stay outside of the park you should make a point to get up as early as possible, drive to the National Park Service Visitor Center or Yavapai Lodge, find a parking spot, and leave your car there for the day.  Listed below are some selected properties.

Best Western touts this as the only resort hotel in Grand Canyon.  The 3-diamond, AAA rated property sports two restaurants, a sports bar with live entertainment on the Grand Canyon National Park, Stock Photograph, ClickArt, Broderbund Software weekends, outdoor pool (it is not heated, despite what is listed on the Best Western web site), a small fitness center, Jacuzzi, dry sauna (electric), tanning beds, barber shop and beauty salon, massage parlor, a six lane bowling center, billiards, concierge services, coffee shop, business services and a guest laundry.

The resort also has a Cowboy Museum with a small collection of Arizona cowboy artifacts. The lobby was a beautiful indoor stream and waterfall and features, "the world’s largest fine art mural of the Grand Canyon."

They offer 250 guest rooms, all with, color cable television, coffee service, hairdryer, and one king or two queen beds.  Cribs and roll aways are available for a fee.  They also have two luxury suites and two business suites.  Non-smoking and handicapped rooms are available.

This 2-diamond, AAA rated property has 56 suites and 176 deluxe rooms and offers color TV with cable, phones with modem links, pool, whirlpool, in room coffee, a gift shop, and a full service restaurant.  Suites also have microwave, refrigerator, office desk, couch and chairs as well as separate sleeping quarters.  Rooms have balconies or patios and some rooms have minibars.  Non-smoking and handicapped rooms are available.

This property has 165 rooms and 32 suites.  Guest rooms include alarm clock, color television with cable and satellite TV, AM/FM radio,  and offers color TV with cable, phones with modem links, pool, whirlpool, dataport access on phones, in room voice mail, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and a work desk.  Non-smoking and handicapped rooms are available.  Suites are two rooms with unique furniture that captures the spirit of the Southwest.  The bedroom has a king size bed, and the living quarters has a pull out sleeper/sofa.  Non-smoking and handicapped rooms are available.  There is no no restaurant at the property, but two are within walking distance.
