Spring: Cool. Temperatures ranging from the 40'ies in March to the 80'ies by June
Summer: Warm and humid. Temperatures in the 80'ies to 90'ies, and can occasionally break 100 degrees, lots of shade from mature forest
Fall: Cool and dry, but becoming wet in November. Temperature ranging from the 80'ies in September falling to near freezing in December
Winter: Cool, temperatures can fall close to zero on rare occasions, some annual snow fall, can be damp
What To See: top
Iron Masters mansion, iron furnaces, charcoal hearths and a variety of out buildings. Nationally famous French Creek State Park is adjacent to the park.

A large number of programs are available including Black History Month in February, Women's History Month in March, Sheep Shearing in Map, Living History demonstrations from June to Labor Day, Apple Harvest and Crafts in the fall, and an Iron Plantation Christmas in December

Engrossing place to visit for children, especially during the summer months for the hands on iron demonstrations and then a visit to the pool at adjacent French Creek State Park

Only a variety of short trails that connects the buildings is available

Adjacent French Creek State Park has almost 40 miles of backcountry and moderate difficulty trails. Connections to these trails are in Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site
