Spring:  Cool, and wet.  Temperatures ranging from the 30'ies to the 80'ies by June
Summer:  Warm with afternoon showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures in the 70'ies to 90'ies, severe weather is possible in the summer
Fall:  Cool and dry.  Temperature ranging from the 70'ies in September falling to below zero in  December
Winter:  Cold,  snow happens often 

What To See:  top
Mount Rushmore Memorial with the faces of US president's Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt.  Artist Studio with plaster concept molds and tools used to carve out mountain.  Summer time has evening lighting ceremony at the memorial.

Activities:  top
A large number of ranger led activities is going on almost continuously through the day.  Range lead walks, hikes, and demonstrations and discussions at the Artist's Studio.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial has programs for school related trips.  It is preferred for these trips to be done in the spring or fall.  You can contact the part directly for specific information.
