French Creek
State Park offers two flat water paddling opportunities. Hopewell
Lake is located in the heart of the park on the southern border right
next to Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. This sixty acre
lake has several small islands on it and offers a variety of native
fishing species including northern pike, chain pickerel, bass walleye,
muskellunge and a variety of panfish. Smaller Scotts Run Lake (at
21 acres really a pond) to the north is stocked with trout. If you
plan to try your luck you will need a valid fishing license.

French Creek
State Park offers two disc golf courses. Also known as Frisbee
golf, the two courses twist through the woods and are used year
round. The challenge is throw Frisbees through the trees to a
specific stand that catches the Frisbee. Nine holes are played and
general the basic rules of golf remain. It is a challenging sport
that can be quite addicting.
