Frank took this picture in the summer of 1998 in Canyonlands National Park, Utah while on a road trip. It was a "hundred mile off road trail" he went on that started out very close to Moab. Starting out midday he reached the camping spot at nightfall. After darkness rolled around he thought about the position of his tent and the buttes behind it. He grabbed a lantern and shoved it in his tent and then grabbed his camera and tripod and fired a shot. Expecting very little he only took one shot, compared to the usual three he takes.
