Outdoor Research Mesh Ditty Bags
Ditty bags are a virtual necessity for organizing all the little things in your pack: compass, knife, repair kit, avalanche beacon, sunglasses, etc. We make them in three sizes and two constructions – Hydroseal fabric or tough, flat-weave black mesh. Outdoor Research Basic Hydroseal Stuff Sacks
Developed from 4 oz. Antron-nylon oxford cloth, we then add our Hydroseal-200 elastomeric coating and there you have the difference. This is a high quality sack with all the durability of Hydroseal fabric, but without the more expensive features of the Standard and Advanced. A drawcord top, dust cover, and webbing handle on the end make it completely functional, but easy on the pocketbook.

The Standard builds on the foundation of the Basic by adding factory sealed seams and a webbing daisy chain on the side for lashing to a pack. Outdoor Research Advanced Hydroseal Stuff Sacks
Developed from 4 oz. Antron-nylon oxford cloth, we then add our Hydroseal-200 elastomeric coating and there you have the difference. The use of a roll top closure for keeping water out wasn’t our idea, but putting it on a lightweight stuff sack was. Before the Advanced came along, there were only heavy, bulky, dry bags for use in rafts and kayaks, inappropriate for hiking and backpacking, and very expensive. Our design uses a big slab of Velcro on each end of the closure to form a low-bulk roll lock which is easy to open and close even with bulky mitts on. Nothing to break, freeze, or fail when you’re far from home in the pouring rain. All the other features of the Standard are there.
