Northeast Harbor - Acadia National Park
Located on Mount Desert Island in Maine, Acadia National Park is divided into two units (not to include the numerous islands off shore), with one on the northeastern section of the island and one on the southwestern corner of the island. ?Between these two units sits Northeast Harbor, straight out of the calendar your insurance agent sends you around Christmas time. ?This picture was taken in late May just as the sun was setting. ?Numerous boat tours around Acadia originate out of Northeast Harbor, and it is located relatively close to both campgrounds.
